Hospice Social Services: Military and Veterans and their
FamiliesHope Health Care has an opportunity for you to continue to
serve veterans who are on Hospice care. They have amazing stories
to share and can engage heartily. If you want to help a veteran
approach their final days with courage and dignity, please reach
out to us today regarding this incredible
opportunity.TRAININGPotential volunteers must complete a background
check, attend a 30-45 minute initial meeting, attend a 5-6 hour
orientation, drug screen, and a two-step tuberculosis test prior to
volunteering.TIMEYour schedule is up to you! Most volunteers serve
between 1 to 4 hours per week.LOCATIONIf you'd like to be a
veteran-to-veteran patient companion volunteer, we will match you
with a veteran who lives in or around your community. We only ask
that you share your time with our patients and families.
